New Brunswick Association of Employee Assistance Programs

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a service providing confidential assistance to help employees and their families resolve problems that affect their personal lives or job performance. EAP reduces absenteeism, increases productivity and wellness in the workplace.

NBAEAP History
The NBAEAP was established in 1979 as an association dedicated to fostering the growth and development of EAP throughout New Brunswick.

Goal of the NBAEAP
The goal of the NBAEAP is to foster growth and development of EAP throughout New Brunswick by meeting the following objectives:

  1. Providing an opportunity for the membership to interact and share resources.
  2. Fostering the development of professional growth of the membership
  3. Encouraging and supporting the sharing of different approaches to EAP program design.
  4. Promoting the broad brush EAP concept throughout the workplace.
  5. Working toward eliminating the stigmatization of various social and human problems.
  6. Promoting research into the EAP field.

Membership
Membership is open to any person in New Brunswick/Atlantic Canada engaged full time or part time in EAP work and to any others interested in the goals and objectives of the Association.
